1. The product
Follow Along is process documentation software. It helps you turn a deliberate browser walkthrough into an editable guide with screenshots and numbered steps. It does not independently perform tasks or certify that a process is correct. Guides are stored on your computer in the current version. You share them by exporting HTML or PDF. Cloud share links are coming soon and are not live today.
2. Pro subscription and trial
Pro costs $9 per month or $79 per year, billed by Stripe until you cancel. New customers start with a 7-day free trial that requires a payment method. You are not charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, Stripe charges the selected plan on day 7 and continues until you cancel. We email a reminder before the first charge with a one-click cancel link. You can also manage or cancel at Manage billing (Stripe Customer Portal) or by emailing [email protected]. Pro unlocks unlimited guides on devices where you enter your license key. Guides are stored on your computer and are not deleted when a subscription ends. Existing free installs keep their first 3 guides. Canceling stops future renewals; access continues through the end of the paid period (or through the trial if you cancel during it). Full refund on request within 14 days of any charge. 2a. Referral program
Pro and trial customers can share a personal invite link from Refer a friend. A friend who starts their first Pro trial through that link gets a 14-day trial instead of 7 days (a payment method is still required, and the same reminder and cancel terms apply). When that friend's first paid invoice succeeds, the referrer earns a $9 account credit (one month of the monthly plan), applied to their next Follow Along invoice(s). Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred. Limits: one reward per referred customer; up to 12 rewards per referrer per 12 months; the referrer's own subscription must be active when the reward is issued; self-referrals (same customer or email) and fake or duplicate accounts do not qualify. If the friend's payment is refunded or disputed, we may reverse the related credit. We may change or end the program with notice on this page; credits already earned stay on your account.
3. Refunds

4. Product updates list
Joining the updates list does not guarantee a launch date or feature set.
5. Your Content and Data
In these Terms, “Your Content” means content you submit to the Service through the website (other than Excluded Data). “Usage Data” means account, waitlist, billing, product, and technical data about how you use the Service. You can review and change how we use this information in Your Privacy Choices.
5.1 License to us
You keep ownership of the content you submit. You grant Follow Along a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable and sublicensable license to host, copy, process, analyze, modify, create derivative works from, and use Your Content and Usage Data to provide, maintain, secure and improve the Service and to develop new products and services.
5.2 AI and machine learning
We may use Your Content and Usage Data to train, test, evaluate and improve artificial intelligence and machine learning models, including models used by us or provided to third parties, subject to the Excluded Data section and your opt-out choices described in our Privacy Policy.
5.3 Aggregated and de-identified data
We may create aggregated, anonymized or de-identified data from Your Content and Usage Data (“Aggregated Data”). Aggregated Data does not identify you or any individual. We own Aggregated Data and may use, license, sell and otherwise commercialize it for any lawful purpose, during and after your use of the Service.
5.4 Sharing and sale of data
As described in our Privacy Policy, we may share or sell certain data, including personal information, to partners and other third parties. Where the law gives you the right to opt out, you can do so at any time at https://getfollowalong.com/privacy#your-choices or by emailing [email protected].
5.5 Survival
This section survives termination, except that we will stop using identifiable data from your account for new model training and sharing after you delete your account, as described in the Privacy Policy.
5.6 Excluded Data
Screenshots, recorded steps, page text, URLs, form inputs, browsing activity captured during a recording, guides you create, and the install ID and license checks the extension sends are Excluded Data. Guide content is created and stored on your device; we do not receive it. Excluded Data is used only to provide the user-facing features (and, for license checks, to confirm Pro), is never sold, never shared or transferred to third parties except as needed to provide the feature or to meet the law, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models. If cloud share links launch later, shared guide content stays Excluded Data. Personal information of guide viewers is excluded from sale; only Aggregated Data may be derived from it. When listed on the Chrome Web Store, our use of extension user data will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use. Account, waitlist, billing and website usage data are covered by this Your Content and Data section and are not Excluded Data. This section does not override any law or platform policy that limits our use of the Excluded Data.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Follow Along to capture passwords, payment card numbers, or other secrets you are not allowed to store. You are responsible for what you record and share. Do not misuse the Service, attempt to bypass security, or overload our systems.
7. No medical claims
Follow Along is not a medical device and does not claim HIPAA, SOC 2, or clinical certification.
